Peyton Vitter, CFA, is an experienced business operator and investment professional with a diverse background spanning restaurants, manufacturing, services, and financial sectors. After beginning his career in finance allocating capital to private equity, he transitioned to Newport Global Advisors where he managed an 80-unit restaurant company and oversaw a $100+ million investment portfolio across multiple industries. Following his role as Vice President at J.P. Morgan advising business owners on personal wealth management, Peyton founded SMG Capital, where he focuses on partnering with business owners to implement growth strategies, establish operational systems, and facilitate successful exits. He has spent over 10 years improving processes, managing operations and P&Ls, and assessing capital projects and companies in various industries. Prior to joining SMG Capital, he assessed companies and assets across several markets for strategic acquisition and positioning. Cameron began his career managing oil and gas operations, lean sigma process improvement efforts, and P&L optimization for Chevron and private-equity backed independents. Erik has over twenty-five years experience helping multi-site, lower-middle market companies navigate change, accelerate growth and achieve successful exits.. His experience spans restaurant, retail, and franchising in CEO, COO, and CFO roles. As CEO of Uno Restaurants, he strategically shifted the business to an asset-light franchise model, grew revenue, and significantly expanded the franchise base. Erik began his career as a Naval Officer after graduating from Tulane University with a degree in Economics.
